You should look on the CIA’s list of safe countries for Americans. There is not an independent list just for American’s not that I have found.
However, the world for us is getting smaller!
The most boring ones. Small cities. I would never discourage Americans to visit Mexico City, Buenos Aires, Bogota, Lima or Montevideo just for safety issues.
Hi, good question.
Argentina and Chile are the safest, after that I think that Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Brazil and Bolivia.
But Colombia and Brazil are the most beautiful
MMMMMMMMMMMMMMm. You mean the one with the most crime and the one with the less crime. Also look on internet the ranking. You have also different categories of crimes. Drugs, murder, stealing, kidnapping. It depends in which category you are interested and for what you need the ranking.
Right now Mexico DF and Colombia seem to be a bit dangerous but that never hindered me from going to those beautiful places. Chile is still quite safe although crime in Santiago is now higher than in Lima. The same goes to Buenos Aires. I really don’t think there is a ranking, it all depends on whoch places you go in which cities. However, central America (specially Guatemala and El Salvador) quite be dangerous. I know this from experience.
