What is a higher ranking job: file clerk or bank teller? What do you think would be more important on a resume down the road?

Bank teller probably has to be bonded; more important on a resume
bank teller. you might learn some good stuff about how money works. and you get to interact with people and some day if someone robs the bank you can jump over the counter and karate chop them.. that always looks good on the resume.
bank teller
Bank Teller.
bank teller. since you are responsible for lots of money.
I have done both, and the pay ***** for both, but likely the bank teller as the responsiblity is higher, but no promises, but its a great place on either to start with experience.
I think bank teller is better. I used to be one. It’s a good way to get a foot in the door to find a better job at the bank. Of course, it all depends on what you’re interested in, and what each job really entails. If the file clerk job requires a lot of computer skills, and you want to work in IT, then you should do the file clerk job. If you want to be in finance or banking, you should be a teller. If you’re afraid of being robbed, be a file clerk.
Bank Teller position will always get respect, and you can capitalize on multiple trades of the job. However, if you were to take a filing position at NYSE, or another reputable company, you could also capitalize on a job position of that magnitude. They are the same pay wise, but which place has a better chance for advancement?
Bank teller because of all the different things you have to learn. You also cannot have a criminal past nor bad credit. The starting wage is not the best but in time you do earn a bit more than a file clerk. It will greatly benefit you in the long run especially if you pursue a career in the financial industry later on.
