How long can I not play halo before my rank goes down?

My friend wanted to borrow halo 3 and hes having it for 2 weeks will that affect my rank at all because I don’t want to lose my rank. And how long can I not play before my rank starts going down?

    I havent played for months and my rank is still Liutenant Grade 2. I have been that for about 2 years. I keep playing so well that I dont do any better and get a higher skill. I am not sure if it will go down or not. Dont hold me to my word.

    I dont think your rank will start going down if you stop playing.I havent played halo 3 in a couple of years and my rank hasn’t changed.

    it will remain the same forever, the only way to down rank is to play and do bad (-kd betray uit early etc)
