How do you go up a rank in Gears of war 2 live?

it is not your fault. i have ranked up to the 3 gold bars, 7 times and been deranked back to 2 silvers every time. it all depends on win/loss ratio. so i hope you have a good group of friends because that can make the difference

okay its really super duper ***. basically at the start of each match the ranking system analyzes each team and their K/D ratio and ranks and predicts a winner. If you are on the losing pick and win you gain a lot of exp. if you are the winning pick and lose you lose a lot of exp. and if you are the winning pick and win you gain little to none exp. Its said you basically need to be the losing pick five times and and win each time. That im not sure of thats a general estimate but you really just have to play teams better than you and win. its really ***.
