I dont know the answer to that but its a really good question! Maybe you should check out how rookies are doing and how many tourneys theyve participated in ie: Donald Young and John Isner?
Theyr’e just becoming noticed but theyre doing pretty well.

The points depends on how many points the last person has. To get National points you either play national doubles, which i did and it will go for your next year points. Or just play in a National tournament or a qualifer
