How can do a non-parmetric stastical test on a ranking of teams?

get ranking
pwjac asked:

I have been trying to rank football teams using Excel based on their results for the past 4 seasons.

I would now like to compare ranking I produced with the actual ranking of teams for this season.
Which statistical test could I use to check if the team ranking I have calculated is valid?

I think there is a statistical test called Spearman’s for this purpose.

If you want to compare whether the two groups are different, you could try the Mann-Whitney test. The attached source has a program. It requires that you input the actual data for each group and the program does the ranking.
If you have a different program or could do it by some other means, you have to combine the data , rank them, and identify which group each ranking comes from.
