How high can I get my rank before I go to the Army Basic Training. Right now i’m at E-3. Can I go any higher? I’m in the Army Reserves…
what is the highest rank an enlisted soldier can get?
im thinking on joining as enlisted soldier either that or going to college for rotc officer school.
To be a Captain or Sergeant do you have to go to school for that? or just try your hardest and you’ll get a higher rank, How does it work?
Seeing as class rank is what impacts how favorable of an MOS you get, its something I’d like to know more about. I imagine it is a combination of physical conditioning, academic performance, esprit, etc.
Any knowledge on exactly what is judged and in what proportions would be a huge help. Thanks!
This is for those of you who are in Air Cadets only, as in 12-19 years of age. I am still new ( an Air Cadet) and despite being reminded last week i have forgotten what to do when passing one’s superiors, something along the lines of stand at attention and say”____.” Other information about conduct is welcome so that i don’t get yelled at again. (taking off your wedge when sitting down, etc.)

I know there is a point when the military will chapter someone for not progressing in rank. EX. A specialist with more than 15 or 16 years of service. I don’t remember what the acronym is though. Any help?
What rank will you be after graduating fro AFROTC?
What about USAFA?
I have been told you are a 2nd Lt after graduating USAFA, and also are a 2nd Lt after graduating AFROTC, which does not seem correct considering the rigorous and more demanding 4 years you go through at the academy.
Does a fighter pilot transferring over to commercial flights usually start out at a high paying rank like captain? Or does he have to start as a first year commercial flyer only making 20,000 a year?
