OK on this link there are skill levels. I was told to get to certain ranks in the military its not time in the military that gets you there.. Then what gets you through the ranks then? Also on this link about how long will it take or what will it take to get to skill level 2?
ok i know what a PT test is but what are you being tested on? I know you have to do the whatevere mile marches with gear but what else? Im to young to join the military but was wandering because out of highschool im going to join. Thanks everyone!! : )

I know there is a point when the military will chapter someone for not progressing in rank. EX. A specialist with more than 15 or 16 years of service. I don’t remember what the acronym is though. Any help?

What rank will you be after graduating fro AFROTC?

I have been told you are a 2nd Lt after graduating USAFA, and also are a 2nd Lt after graduating AFROTC, which does not seem correct considering the rigorous and more demanding 4 years you go through at the academy.

Does a fighter pilot transferring over to commercial flights usually start out at a high paying rank like captain? Or does he have to start as a first year commercial flyer only making 20,000 a year?

How easy is it to be promoted to the highest rank in the RAF, starting as a pilot (officer) How many automatic promotions are there, and then how many do you have to earn.

I want to stay in the military and give full service, maybe not even retire aftert the 23 years.

I’ve been told that if you have a certain amount of college credits you start out in the Navy at a higer rank. (E2 or E3 I believe) If that’s true, does that start after boot camp? Does it increase your pay right away?

I would love to know at least the approximation years to advance into a higher rank. Thank You.
