is there a way to see the distribution by rank. Like are there a lot of e4s or are there more e3s etc.

What about officers. for example are there the most amounts of Captains currently or which one?

I got out of the Navy about 1.5 years ago. I am thinking of rejoining. I heard once that if I went back in I would drop a rank but only for 6 months, is this true? BTW, I got out with an Honorable discharge, RE1, and I am 29. I was in for 6 years.
Yeah but I am looking at going back into the Navy. I’ve actually been talking to the Guard and that may be an option, but I know and miss the Navy.
So my old rating is Creo 1 I believe, actually looking it up right now. Even though I have been out for that long I still have the chance of keeping my E5. That is cool. Thanks.
OK, I was a CTR 2 and my rate is still a CREO 1. I didn’t have an NEC. I did cross from FC to CTR and I had an NEC of 1115 as an FC. I would rather go back in as a CTR and if I could keep my rank, that would be AWESOME! I know the National Guard did say I can get into their officer program, but I would have to go through boot camp and then OCS which could take a very long time. Just trying to make a decision.

Say the draft was in effect, and you were drafted at the age of 18, serving until the age of 21: being shipped to Iraq directly after boot camp and training. What is the highest rank you can achieve? Will you have to be shipped back to officer school to become an officer?
Also it possible in that period of time to enter the navy seals or any other sort of elite squad instead?

I am planning to enlist in the U.S. Army after I graduate law school and am curious to know what rank I will enter in at with this level of education. I know that with a bachelor’s degree, I would start at E-4, Specialist, but have never heard of anyone enlisting (not OCS) with a professional degree.

Im entering the army as a E3 from the navy through the blue to green program …what are the procedures for making rank in the army (in the navy we have advancement tests ) and how fast can you make rank in the army?

With a bachelors degree and a masters what rank do you start out at? Is is a E-1 or a 0-1 or a W or what?
Also, if starting out as an O-1, how long does it typically take to move up to a O-2 or 3 until ?
