Of course you have to get good grades and all… but its not like how it is in high school where if you take AP or X (advanced) classes your GPA is weighted on a different scale right?
i was 148 of 622 students in my freshman year, which is pretty bad. But im planning to get a much higher class ranking my sophmore and junior year. Do colleges look at class rankings of indivudual years? or do they jumble all of it together? If i have a bad class rank my freshman year, will it affect my overall class rank?

I am a Junior in high school and my class rank is 20 out of 410. Is this good or mediocre?
Hey. I’m graduating from high school next year in May and so I will start applying to colleges this year in the fall. I want to go into medicine but I’m not sure what colleges/universities I should be looking at. I live in Maryland and I want to stay on the East Coast. I would preferably like to go to New York. What are some good schools I can go to. I want to go to NYU but im not sure if I can get in. How important is a universities rank for fturue med students. I just want to make sure I pick a good school to provide me with the best experience and services since medical school is so challenging. I know I’m just going into pre med but I want to get off to a good start. PLEASE HELP.
I am a incoming junior and my class rank is not that good. My current cumulative class rank is 160. What is the best possible class rank I can achieve if I get really good grades my Junior and Senior year.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
My class rank is 160 out of 600 possible kids, and my GPA is 4.7 cumulative out of 5.0 scale.
My school only has about 50 kids so to be in the top 10% you would have to be 1-5 in class rank.
How do they look at this? Do they still look at it the same as other schools that may have 250+ kids?
