Now I know celebrities always keep some cristal in their fridges and I have heard that it is a champagne.
Now, this confuses me, if all the champagnes are from the same region and made the same way ( I presume to get the distinctive fizz) why are some champagnes considerably more expensive than others?

This leads me to ask, is there a ranking system on champages (cristal, moet…)and wines (Chardonnay etc) irrelevant of age?
